OK, it's well established that Kanye West's statement was pretty stupid, but does anyone else think that 50 Cent's statement was even more stupid?

Yes, God sent the hurricane actively. We shouldn't try to do anything about it, because God meant for thousands of people to have their homes destroyed, and for people to live in utter squalor in the Superdome. Obviously, God wants that.

Also keep in mind that 50 Cent was a cocaine dealer.

I thought mother nature was the one who sent those hurricanes

So what if 50 cent was a cocaine dealer...His opinion still counts.

I hope so! When you have someone like Kanye who is anti-Bush say something like that on television...it surely does hurt the anti-Bush supporters.
No, actually it doesn't. It gains them support from a largely un-tapped populace. That video was not targeted at middle class suburban white people. You get to have Neil Diamond.

Well the Republican party is the party that supports small government so...of course people who are less fortunate will be upset. I wouldn't consider the Republican party an "enemy" though..
They certainly are an enemy of their well being and happiness. The statistics for minorities are heavily slanted in favor of democrats for a reason: "George Bush don't like black people" or whatever the exact quote was

A black republican makes about as much sense as a gay republican... the point is: Republicans have no empathy or understanding for minorities and their situations.
Hev, you forget, the Dems use the minorties by telling them that the republicans are repressing them. It is a joke, once the minorities realize that the Dems are only holding them back, we will be much better off.
I agree in so much that I don't believe the democrats give two shits about poor brown people either.

Haha... yeah right. Don't hold your breath. Minorities are democrats for a reason, and it isn't what the demcrats are telling them it is how republicans behave.
They tend to be democrats because the democrats offer an easy way out, via a hand-out. But that hand out comes with a lot of repression. The democrats are no better than the republicans. The easy way out is not always the best. Poor minorities in this country get fucked by everyone, even each other.

African Americans in this country have ceased being a political power. 90% of African Americans will vote for Democratic candidates regardless of what a Republican candidate may offer or say to try and win them over. Such is the fact that many Republican candidates have given up on trying to win them over. Since the Democrats know the African Americans will vote for them regardless, they do not have to cater to their demands. The Democrats can laughingly say what are they going to do vote Republican, knowing that it is a true statement.

African Americans complain about their status in this country, the only ones they have to blame are themselves. They have put themselves into this position by the way they have remained blindly loyal to the Democratic party. I will grant the fact that it was LBJ who appointed the first African American to the Supreme Court, but it was Bush 41 who appointed the second. It was also Bush 43 that appointed the first African American as Secretary of State, and the first AFrican American woman as National Security Advisor. Who seems to be doing more for whom.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

While I can disagree with other people's opinions on this site you are the only poster who instills sadness.
--- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope ---

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.
