The fact is that almost all the US media are owned by large corporations, which means they are obsessed with peddling their own products and inhibited from doing anything that might offend advertisers or consumers.
however, since our American media concentrate only on the fact that President Bush came out in support of the "Immigration Bill". LOL Why? They want to embarass him and make him look weak. They totally ignore the fact that a majority of Democrat Senators voted for it. They also do not tell us that The Democrat controlled Congress has lower poll support than The President. | I F they don't tell us that then how come we all know about it?
The fact is Bush went out of his way to drum up support for the immigration bill but when the chips were down only 12 Republican senators supported him.
How else could that be described other than as a humiliating defeat for a once all-powerful President who used to have the unquestioning support of both Republican-dominated houses?
Ironically it also takes Immigration off the agenda for Congress for at least two years |
