It wasn't equating facism with the Republican Party. He was fighting against facism, and the fact that people find it easy to equate facism with the Republican Party isn't the film maker's fault, its the Republicans' fault .

When in actuality he modeled his story off of historical facist and totalitarian rises to power. And the fact that the Bush administration resembles some of this, isn't Lucas's fault, its Bush's.

Perhaps Holywood actually didn't go to the left. Perhaps its just that the rest of the country went to the right.

I saw the movie tonight. I thought it was good. Portman did well and it wasn't over the top anti-republican or anything.

I saw it today. I thought it was spectacular. Very good film. I thought the cast was pretty good. Hugo Weaving was a very good pick to play "V". His preformance was very good.
