Since no two individuals are the same, a person confronted with this type of situation is the only one who can judge what is best for their lives. If a person is able to forgive then that's great for them, if not, then that's great too. I think that if the love is deep enough and the trust can be re-established, then more power to them for staying. I wouldn't judge them in either case, unless I felt the person was endangering themselves by staying.

That is a complete cop out!

Are you seriously suggesting that there are no universal moral values?

Alright, so Spitzer was involved in a sex scandal. What's the big deal? If he wants to stoop to a level where he pays for sex then let him. It's his life and we shouldn't think that much less of him for something like that. Ask yourself, If you were involved in a sex scandal yourself, would you think it was such a bad thing? That's his personal life and it doesn't reflect what he does in office.

John in the interests of your future Presidential campaign I recommend you avoid any kind of sex scandal.

And we all know about Senator Clinton's hubby's tryst with some lady named Monica.

I suppose the general public wants to see a squeaky clean image of an American president. But what did JFK do with some beautiful chick named Marilyn?

I don't plan on it. Why run the risk of STD's or AIDS?

Either one could seriously impact your Presidential aspirations

I know, I could be dead before I'm 30. That would really hurt my chances.

Yeah but he had the benefit of not having TMZ chasing him around and DNA testing on Marilyn's sheets. The microscope on people's past and present is making any kind of public life almost unbearable. Look at the drug abuse and general dysfunction among the Hollywood elite.

Gary, haven't you heard the statement, "Judge not, lest ye be judged"? Or "He who judges, will be judged by his own measure?" I'm not copping out. If a spouse can forgive a cheating spouse, that's great. If not, then why would you want them to stay together and be miserable? It just seems like common sense to me. And I'm not sure if I think there is universal morals or not. I know that many claim to be moral, and then we see how quickly they are shown to be liars.
