We don't even get to see a full image of the plane to judge it's size from the video.

I would love for someone to build a replica WTC and fly a few planes into it. Some really rich guy (calling richard branson, please email me richard branson, we will get this thing going) should do it if they are politcally interested.

One needs to apply serious critical thinking skills to these conspiracy documentaries. I saw Loose Change and it changed the way I think about the whole thing but I am skeptical. After all, it is a movie itself. What are the director's incentives, credentials? Where did he get his information? Loose Change cites Wikipedia for evidence in WTC insurance cover up involving one of Bush's brothers...Wikipedia is not the source to cite if you're looking to gain credibility. I don't see how you can subscribe to an outlandish conspiracy theory yet you will simply dismiss the fact that it is hard to believe al-Qaeda could have rigged the buildings with explosives. I do not find that hard to believe at all. 9/11 is the pinnacle of terrorist accomplishment. I would not be surprised if the genuis behind it ran deeper than the American people know.

Because the WTC building has security, and hijacking a plane and crashing it into a building easily fits the pattern and MO of al Qaeda attacks. Suicide bombings and plane hijackings are both common to the organization, combining them isn't such a leap. I saw an interview in Thomas L. Friedman's (unfortunately) short lived documentary series where a French Muslim woman described using America's own technology to destroy it's buildings as "A well deserved slap in the face" to America. It's symbolically more effective. Furthermore, they could carry out a lot more destruction. I think someone would notice if they tried to demolish the building with explosives.

If they were going for pure "body count", they would have flown the jetliners into crowded football stadiums later that week. 4 jetliners could have killed and injured 100,000 Americans instead of 3,000.

Why give the people inside the building a chance to leave via the warning of a jumbo jet hitting it as opposed to just bringing it down with demolitions without warning. Many more people would have been killed that way.

because placing demolitions in the most effective places is OBVIOUS. It requires mass amounts of plastic explosives. The most effective placement would be in the parking garage, which no one could miss. I fail to see how flying a plane into a building could have been a warning in any way, since it hasn't happened before in recorded history, at least, not on purpose. We didn't know it was al Qaeda. It could easily have been an accident, at least until the second plane hit. I remember watching the news broadcast and wondering what the fuck was going on quite clearly. It was only tentatively al Qaeda around twelve hours later.
