| The terrorists utilized one of the greatest accomplishments of Western technology (airplanes/flight), turned them into effective WMDs, halted a major American industry for several days (airline industry), destroyed two of the tallest buildings in America, collectively known as the World TRADE Center. Current estimates say that 9/11 cost Americans 1.2 trillion jobs, not to mention the billions in physical damage to New York City and the Pentagon. Also, they timed the attacks so one of them was on live national news when it hit. I would say it was all pretty effective regardless of whether they were able to plant explosives in the towers or not. All I am saying is if demolitions brought down the towers there would have been many more people killed had the planes not hit. | Right but you're assuming killing the maximum amount of people as possible was their goal. While it is true that the modern religious terrorists are much more apt to killing mass amounts of people, indeed while it is even their goal at times, to dismiss the idea of demolitions by simply assuming that they were trying to kill as many Americans as possible ignores the realities of the actual attacks that I pointed out. Furthermore, they still killed over 3,000 people and it was still by far the deadliest terrorist attack in history. They are clearly very smart - if their goal was to kill as many Americans as possible on that day I believe their targets perhaps even their mode of attack would have been much different. | I just purchased this film yesterday and saw it last night...I felt so much anger after watching this film. It clearly identifies the troubles they went through that day. Also, they clearly had some evidence of what happened aboard flight United93 as many of the passengers were able to call there loved ones. Some of them told their loved ones they were planning to fight back the terrorists after being told that other planes have been hijacked and flown into buildings. I had chills throughout the entire movie..at the end, me and my roommate were pretty much speechless... | |

| Why wouldn't Bush & Co. just blow the demolitions and blame it on Al Qaeda? It would have been a lot simpler, no where near as much of a hassle. Godbless, Tadpole. “I am a Republican. I watched the trailors and they had interviewed many of the families of those who lost someone on flight United93. They talked about their last discussions they had with their loved ones on flight United93 via cell phone or airline phone. I heard some conspiracy theories talk about those planes being remotely flown as there were no terrorists aboard...I wouldn't understand why the familes would ever lie about the last discussions they had with their oved ones. | ||

It would have been a lot easier. But would not have gotten them into Iraq. --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- "There is no such thing as laziness. | Thinking up a conspiracy theory for this might take some time... | |
