You are right. Christians are saints. There is no trouble in Ireland... Africa wasn't taken advantage of because of religion, the Native Americans thought Christians were just good neighbors, and the Jews loved the generous free showers.

Do you believe religion plays a role in us being in Iraq over the last few decades?

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

I was responding to your assumption that Christians do not to radical things like "fly planes into buildings", essentially, you were claiming that Christians do not kill innocent civilians because of some kind of religious motivation. I was not trying to bash Christianity I was just pointing out that Christians are quite capable, and have demonstrated in the past as quite willing, to commit radical acts on par with Islamist terrorists. Until 9/11, the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City was the worst terrorist incident to occur on U.S. soil enacted on U.S. citizens. It was carried out by a radical American Christian.

Somehow you always spin this into why "this is why liberals always lose elections". I'm just tired of this bullshit. Does anybody remember that a Democrat was the President for 8 years before Bush?

MANDATE!!!!
<end sarcasm>

On a separate note, I heard once that Bush was re-elected (2004 election) with the slimmest margin of any "war-time" president.

Whoa, hold the show. Now you are going off on a tengent on wars made by governments. You have just played the famous bait and switch when you can't support your statement. None of that was done in the name of Jesus. We have a lot of muslims running around murdering in the name of Allah. I asked you how many wars have been fought in the name of jesus, not governments.

I see what you are getting at. Let's get away from specifics... I want to know how you feel about this:

Do you think religion has been a contributing factor to a lot of the world's conflicts?

I'm going to start a poll using this question. You can respond there if you wish.

How is that good news?

I find the concept of formal conversion somewhat rude and unsettling... Probably because of my upbringing. It just seems wrong to me.

That's not really a basis for any sort of formal argument, of course.

Yeah Republicans called for the mandate after the 2004 elections because Bush received the most votes of any presidential candidate in history. Want to know which candidate was second place? John Kerry, 2004.

Listen alias i really wish you would stop your blanket generalizations about islam. Radical muslims who blow themselves up are as much at odds with muslim ideology as they are at odds with christian ideology. Just like the racist white aryan nation churches and preachers do not represent you, these nutjobs with beards do not represent the majority of muslims.

The kurds are turning to christianity for ethnic reasons. Kurdish populations in Turkey and Iraq have been suppressed for a long time. Unlike other places in Iraq, the coalition forces are actually bringin peace to the area. The reason is that they are actually protecting them from the discrimination they have been suffereing for a long time on ETHNIC lines. Other places in Iraq the people are feeling exploited (because they weren't before ) and so they react violently. While these kidnappings and bombings are vile behaviour, they are the result of unstable times in the country, and not the ideology of the people.

I am a muslim and i can tell you that everybody i know, while having an amount of antipathy towards the US for political reasons, they generally couldn't care less what their religion is. Christians are people of the book and jesus is considered a prophet of god. Our ideology accept the teachings of your focal figure. How then can there be anything about it that targets Christians?

Democrats lost control of the house, the senate, governorships, the presidency, and are losing seats on the Supreme Court. Fact. No spin.
