The kurds are turning to christianity for ethnic reasons. Kurdish populations in Turkey and Iraq have been suppressed for a long time. Unlike other places in Iraq, the coalition forces are actually bringin peace to the area. The reason is that they are actually protecting them from the discrimination they have been suffereing for a long time on ETHNIC lines. Other places in Iraq the people are feeling exploited (because they weren't before ) and so they react violently. While these kidnappings and bombings are vile behaviour, they are the result of unstable times in the country, and not the ideology of the people.

I am a muslim and i can tell you that everybody i know, while having an amount of antipathy towards the US for political reasons, they generally couldn't care less what their religion is. Christians are people of the book and jesus is considered a prophet of god. Our ideology accept the teachings of your focal figure. How then can there be anything about it that targets Christians?

You consider a Jesus a prophet of God. Tell me, can a prophet of God ever lie?

People that put faith in 2000 year old human authors should have a check up from the neck up.

The same people that do this hardly trust the "liberal media"... imagine how many rumors where flying back in the day.

It is simply stunning that people feel that out of control with their lives that they have to grab at straws to find meaning.

Not you, because you will relate honestly that which you have read and heard.

However it's been shown that the bastion of christian history , the roman catholic church, does NOT have the best history of honesty and integrity.

I do believe that the people who started the organization called the church and involved it in politics , ALSO tampered with the message of christ. Otherwise there would have ben no difference between that which Christ said and that which Mohammad said.

Okay. Jesus said "No one comes to the father but by me". Is Jesus a liar or is he telling the truth?

Absolutely true. He was a prophet of god, so the path to god necessarily includes him.

That is not what he said. He did not say the path to God INCLUDES him. He said "No one comes to the father but by me". He said if you want to get to the father, you have to go with him. Do you believe that? After all, he is a prophet of God and cannot lie.

Precisely, but the statement doesn't exclude others purveying the same message of god.

Mohammad's message would necessarily accept all of jesus's teachings, so muslims would be going with him (jesus) too.

Fact is dude that Islam accepts all of jesus' teachings. However church dogma and the diefication of the church and priesthood is something the muslims do not agree with. There is no conlfict with jesus. There is conflict with the church. But the church was man made, so it is in no way an attack on jesus or his teachings.

You may claim that the church too is divine. If so, then why does it have atrocities like the spanish inquisition as a part of it's past. Divine influence would never cause such violence. It was man made.
