Yes, I think they should be put in jail if they commit a crime. The most powerful way to protest is whom you decide to give your money too. But what always bugs me the most about protesters going to jail is that they are often times protesting an agency, corporation, or industry who has employees and owners who behave immorally on such a grand scale yet get a slap on the wrist.... because hey, at the end of the day they are making a lot of money for someone.

Basically I think corporations should be "put in jail" if they break the law. Dumping toxic waste should not be a 25,000 dollar fine.... close the business for a period of time. Don't allow them to make money. That is the only thing they respond to.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

I don't think the policeman's horse that got slugged by a "peace" protestor was making any money for a large corporation. He just wanted to shit in the middle of the road and eat some oats.
