I think that sucks, but why the hell did she commit suicide? I think it's stupid, and I can't really feel sympathy for people who kill themselves. They choose to kill themselves instead of doing their best to pull themselves out, and if they think it's that bad that it's better than continuing, so be it. I can empathize with the partner, but yeah. I've been in that psychological mess...it ain't fun, but eh. I'm getting OT

Well Media::Films was created for media/news or things you see or read in the news with the addition of films.

alias placed this topic along with another topic "Gay couple to be sentenced for abusing boys" in the Gay Marraige forum for seemingly no reason other than the fact the news articles involve gay people and so does gay marraige.

I am disbelieving the lack of compassion I am reading here. How can anyone hope to be defending any truth by such venom as "jokes" about suicide or the, " I can't be bothered" attitude?

This site is called Defending the Truth and whilst we may not always be defending the same truth, I would have hoped we all could be "speaking the truth in love" ...

Does joking about the value of human life get justified in your worldview, if you do not ascribe to the spiritual or political idealogy of that one you devalue and discount with "jokes"?

Would you consider it love to stop the poison giver to prevent innocent people from being poisoned? I would.

I am not one of the politically correct people who look at putting lezbos and homos in positions of educational authority as doing a loving thing. I find it disgusting and not loving at all. It causes harm to call perversion good and calling good a bigot in my opinion. You know what? I am free to have that opinion too because I am an American and obey all the laws of the land.

I am very certain though that the facts would bear out this, gay educators are not influencing young people to take up a gay lifestyle. Nope, I am going to guess that if there are environmental influences, they are from the hetero-men who have been abusive and /or negligent fathers.

At any rate, your freedom to count anyone as practice perversion is protected. But spewing hateful "jokes" that wear like taunts to those who are gay, taunts to commit suicide, I am not so sure that is your right.

Yes, it is my right. Al Franken said he'd like to break Bill O'Reilly's ankle and no one said a word about it. He said it right on national radio. A newly elected congressman said he'd like to punch the president right in the nose. If those 2 have the right to freedom of speech, so do I. If it offends you, I suggest you ignore me. Did you hear the one about Hillary on her death bed?

Hillary is dying in the hospital and Bill comes to say his goodbye. He leans down to kiss Hillary good bye and she whispers in his ear "billy, since I'm going to go, can we do what I always wanted? You know, anal sex".

Bill says to her...."Why sure honey", and then proceeds to do the dirty deed right there in the hospital room.

The next day Bill comes to visit her again for what must surely be their last time together and finds Hillary sitting up in bed with color in her cheeks and big smile on her face. He then proceeds to start bawling like a baby.
