My question was not a litmus test. Why would I suggest that you have to have served to have an opinion? I have not served and I have an opinion. But I apologize if I struck a nerve.

"I know two types of law because I know two types of men, those who are with us and those who are against us." ~ Hermann Goering, 1936, Nazi leader, at the Nuremberg Trials after World War II

"You are either with us or against us." ~ George W. Bush, November 2001

"The struggle between the two worlds [Fascism and Democracy] can permit no compromises. It's either Us or Them!"---Benito Mussolini (fascist) Address, from Palazzo Venezia balcony October 27, 1930

"The great masses of people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one. Especially if it is repeated over and over." ~ Adolph Hitler

"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the state." ~ Dr. Joseph M. Goebbels - Hitler's propaganda minister

Sure, he is entitled to say what he likes. So is the school bully who calls the nerdy kids names. So are the liberals who call Bush names. But just because you can call someone else names, doesn't mean you should.

When a liberal calls Bush greedy, a warmonger, an idiot, or some other name, he has not presented any logical explanation about why Bush is wrong; he has simply called Bush a name. He is free to do that, and maybe he will get cheers for it, but if no logical reason to oppose Bush has been presented, then those words are pointless: they pander to emotions instead of reason, and represent intellectual dishonesty.

That's one of the things I don't get about "flag burning".
I support the right to do it, but I don't think it makes any sense to do it, and beyond just blindly showing emotion, it accomplishes nothing.

It shows people that you're pissed off at America, it gets some Americans pissed off at you, and the only thing it does is polarize people on the issue.
Nobody's opinions are changed. Nobody understands the other side better.

It accomplishes nothing.

(Wayyyyyy off topic, but I just had to throw that in...)

What was the point of your question? It doesn't matter whether I served or not. That is not the point.

Oh wow man. I get it. Bush is a nazi and a fascist. I can't believe I never saw it. And the terrorists are freedom fighters who slice people's heads off and hide behind women and children and build their schools over bomb stashes and missile launchers. Yeah, that's it. Thanks man. Can I have another hit.

Liberals deserve to be called names because they will give terrorists every benefit of the doubt over those that are fighting them. These cowards who hide behind women and children are called patriots and freedom fighters to SOME liberals. I don't remember any Americans hiding behind women and children when we were fighting our Revolutionary War. Liberals love to support cowards. Birds of a feather flock together.
