You're so pathetically predictable.
I almost filled in your response for you in my last post.
My prediction was almost word for word what you just said.

Hmm, now we have a contradiction in Alias' philosphies. He thinks people that signed up to fight in the war on terror are real men. Yet he doesn't think homosexuals are real men. So what does that make a gay soldier? A half a man?

It shows people that you're pissed off at America, it gets some Americans pissed off at you, and the only thing it does is polarize people on the issue.
Nobody's opinions are changed. Nobody understands the other side better.

It accomplishes nothing.

(Wayyyyyy off topic, but I just had to throw that in...)
I agree with what you are saying here, regarding people who burn the flag to protest America or the current administration. However, protecting their freedoms is only a small reason I oppose the flag burning amendment.

There are a million reasons I might want to "disrespect the flag". Maybe I'm looking for some more wood to keep the fire going, but all I've got is this flag that I haven't used in a year, so why not throw it in? Maybe I'm interested in seeing how well this new bleach I just bought works. Maybe I need something to cover up the garbage outside so it doesn't get rained on. Maybe I want to make some red and white bows, so I decide to cut up the flag into red and white strips, which I will tie into a bow. Maybe I want to roll it up and use it as a jump rope. Maybe I want to write my name on it in big letters. Maybe I want to tear it into bandage-like strips to wrap up my sprained ankle.

I mean, who cares? It's my flag; it's my property. These actions shouldn't be violating the Constitution, nor any law at all.

Obviously, the American flag has no value to you. I have much more respect for it. I have no trouble finding rags to use for chores.

No I do not think homos are real men. Do you wish to joint the ranks of the personal attacks today? We can have another insult war around here is you wish. Your choice.

I don't know that liberals are giving terrorists the benefit of the doubt. I think everyone agrees that terrorism is wrong, but maybe the disagreement is about whether a war is the right choice. Now, I know you do think that war is the right choice, but war results in a lot of death, including the death of many innocent people. War is always a hard decision.

Even if going to war is really the right solution, can you fault people for coming to the wrong conclusion? It's a tough choice, and surely war protesters mean well. Do they really deserve insults, for wanting to prevent war, for wanting to prevent innocent people from dying? I don't think they do. Understand them as people who simply have a different opinion, and try to convince them to change that opinion. Insulting people will only make them unhappy, and it will only make the uninformed observer agree with you for the wrong reasons. Work against those you disagree with by providing reasons they are wrong, not insults.
