No, I'm not insulting you. I'm merely re-stating your philosophies, and their contradiction. And I'm trying to get something cleared. What is a homosexual man that is "a man of action", that signed up to fight in the 'war on terror'?

Even if going to war is really the right solution, can you fault people for coming to the wrong conclusion? It's a tough choice, and surely war protesters mean well. Do they really deserve insults, for wanting to prevent war, for wanting to prevent innocent people from dying? I don't think they do. Understand them as people who simply have a different opinion, and try to convince them to change that opinion. Insulting people will only make them unhappy, and it will only make the uninformed observer agree with you for the wrong reasons. Work against those you disagree with by providing reasons they are wrong, not insults.
They have more than a different opinion when they carry insulting pictures of the president and do all they can to disrupt things. If they have a different opinion and wish to state it, fine, no problem. When they deliberately call the president a nazi, a war criminal, a murderer, and innocent people who died on 09/11 are called "little Eichmans". I have a problem.

I agree; you should have a problem when people say those things.

However, I have a problem when people call war opponents "snide" and "arrogant". I have a problem when people say that war opponents "blame America first". I have a problem when people say that war opponents have "empty theory". I have a problem when people say that war opponents "lack the fortitude to take risks." I have a problem when one group of people is described as "better men" than another group. These things are not arguments in support of the war; they are insults, plain and simple.

They are insults just as much as calling Bush a nazi, a war criminal, or a murderer are insults, and though people will clap and cheer when you insult someone else, those cheers are deceptive, for the insults have said nothing of value. We should try to avoid these things in reasonable discussion.
