Wow.

You and Kat really have over-inflated egos, don't you?

You "shut down" Seattle? Yeah, you sure did! What really happened is that you got some attention, and life in the city went on as usual.

So narrow minded. You asked for a law that punished individuals who protest that prevent individuals from going about their business, I provided one. ALl clamour about is showing you one that pertains to interrupting the Presidents vacation. So quick to change the parameters aren't you. You got what you asked for, sorry you didn't like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Throughout this post Kat has cried for laws, so what says the ACLU on protesting????

Hmmmm, am I mistaken or is it quite plainly in black and white that protestors must obey the traffic laws????????

So lets see, marchers have to get permits, you failed to mention this Kat, was this an omission in error or an omission to deceive????? Permits equate to permission, hmmmm another omission????

Furthermore, the permits require that the marchers routes be described, and entered in advance. Hmmm sort of makes one wonder why this is needed?? Perhaps so that the police can possibly redirect traffic and cordone off the marching route???? Yet another omission.

It is quite clear that your failure to admit to any of the requirements or restrictions either shows how little you really know and thus is responsible for all the omissions, or you are simply lying. Which one is it??????

Q: What is a peace protest without media coverage?

A: Just a walk in the park.

Talk about arrogance. Hey, where are your news reports from your 100,000 and 300,000 people protests that shut down Seattle and Washington DC?

It got little coverage because this was at the time that a hurricane was hitting Texas. The one that came after Katrina. Many news sources gave the numbers of people there that day anywhere from 100,000 to 500,000. The organizers gave the press the estimated figure of around 100,000 before the people even arrived, so that's the number they reported when it happened. However, it was a week-end long event, and many many more people arrived than originally estimated. The organizers then reported anywhere from 250,000 to 300,000, and other organizations estimated 300,000; CSPAN estimated around 500,000. It included well over 300 members of Military Families Speak Out, including myself. It also included a group from Iraq War Veterans Against the War.

It was just one part of a larger protest. There were 100,000 marching in London. There were people also marching in Florence, Rome, Paris and Madrid.

No, unless everyone's everyday business involves going to a clinic. But the group at Crawford never blocked any clinics. Nor any group at Washington.

I thank you for your link. However, I must tell you to take your condescending arrogance and shove it up your ass.

And yes I know you need permits, and I apologize if I was misleading. I thought that was given considering we're talking about specific protests. Alias said Sheehan's protest amounted to criminality. However, traffic laws weren't being violated. Seeing as one camp was on the sides of the road, and the other and larger one was on someone's private property at his permission. The march in Washington had a permit. Yet you people still have to provide one law that says you can't make the President a little uncomfortable on his month-long vacation. And you only prove my point about making people's everyday business disrupted is legal. Because even with a permit, people still can't drive down those roads or go about their everyday business. And its still a "commotion", which Alias says doing so is illegal. The march in Washington had a permit for hundreds of thousands of people, and it blocked off most of the administrative part of Washington. That's shuting it down. And you would most certainly agree that would prevent people from going about their "everyday business".

Where does it state in the article 300,000 protesters? Where does it state that you shut down Washington DC? That is what you claimed.

I read what you wrote. Am I just supposed to believe it because you say so? I'm not as naive as you. You claimed you were part of 300,000 people who shut down Washington DC. If that is true, then where is the news source saying that? I think your a liar. Prove me wrong.

Hey, Katz,

I'm still waiting for you to verify from any news source that you were part of 300,000 protesters who shut down Washington DC as you claim.
