Why? Many small children overeat or eat the wrong kinds of foods in their diet... Do you not think that occasional safe fasting might be cleansing to them physically and mentally?

Fasting is never healthy. The only healthy alternative to unhealthy eating is to eat a more healthy balanced meal plan with exercise. Starvation diets never work because they don't change their lifestyle and when they get off of the diet, they gain more weight than they previously had.

No not at all, they are too young, and not developed enough. Fasting is not a way to diet. It doesn't work.

I agree if we are speaking about fasting in the sense of as a diet.
