People CAN and DO give money to things out of the kindness of their hearts.

You probably can't comprehend "kindness of their hearts" because you think like a republican, whereby every action involves a profit line. You'ld probably work great at Haliburton. <end sarcasm>

Just out of curiousity, do you know the laws on tax deductions and campaign contributions?

Didn't think so...

"Right in the link", a woman who is AGAINST the issue is claiming that "one BIOTECH INDUSTRY" will gain billions.

Which again begs the question alias.
(And do keep on avoiding it, because it's fun to watch you avoid it...)

"billions"?
How the heck is that going to work?
I thought you and Jefferson kept saying that stem cells haven't been "PROVEN" to cure anything.
Ergo, wouldn't it be a losing proposition, if they are actually financially involved in stem cells?

Perhaps you can explain how they can gain "billions" off of something you harp on doesn't "cure" anything...

I would expect a lot of foreign newspapers to be against us. They have a lot of problems and are gonna have a lot more. When Europe goes up in flames again, who do you think they will call to help them? They're so arrogant, they can't see the mistakes they make and they will hate themselves for asking for our help, then when it's all over and the threat is again extinguished like in WWII, they will once again turn their snotty noses up in the air. They can't help it. They think they are still great powers.

I love it when people who don't believe in the bible quote it to conservatives. Just love it.

You find your own hypocrisy as lesser than the fact that they are pointing out your hypocrisy?

What a bizarre ideal...

Using a book they don't believe in to do it is hilarious. That's like a drunk preaching a sermon in a bar about the dangers of alcohol. I just love it. What makes you think anyone would listen to you assholes when you quote the bible but don't believe in it? That is the height of hypocrisy.

The problem here being that in your example, the PREACHER'S problem is that HE is hypocritical.

Would a person need to believe in the bible, or be against alcohol consumption, in order to point out the hypocrisy of the preacher???

I am not being hypocritical if I point out the hypocrisy of other people, when I don't believe in their cause or share their beliefs.

If that were a REAL standard, then Jefferson would also be guilty whenever he accuses environmentalists of hypocrisy when he is not one...

Do you think you're a hypocrite? I do. You want everyone to be tolerant of your life and the way you live it, but you do not want to be tolerant of Christians to live their life the way they see fit. You want to put them in a box and only let them out when they are at home or at church. If you want others to be tolerant, then show some yourself. That goes for all you so-called tolerant, inclusive, hypocritical liberals. Oh I almost forgot. You all can also kiss my ass.

Sorry that you took offense, Alias. Perhaps I should have also noted that we all seem to have some kind of beam of which we are not aware.

Please do not assume I do not believe in the bible. There are two commandments in it I am trying to keep in mind at all times, the one to love god and the one to love one another. It is challenging, especially when the other person is unloving.

No offense. I'm just in a fighting mood today. Sorry. Kerry really pissed me off. I'd feel much better if I could just punch the guy in the nose.
