So, in that vein, I could give a shit less about what network stations do because they don't have much interesting on anyway. American Idol? Please. Most stations self-censor themselves anyway. They are under no obligation to. I mean are you really that fond of CBS?

The only thing I'm worried about is the bill floating around Congress about extending FCC control to Cable and Satellite. That, I would be highly against. The current amount of censorship over broadcast TV and television isn't anything to complain about, imho, and harsher regulations can always be struck down again. The whole point of the FCC IS to censor, and no one in the government would try to get rid of it because it's political suicide. Plus, the government makes money off licensing those frequencies.
The point is not what channels we like best. So it's ok to censor stations that no one watches? No. Censorship is always wrong.

I'm not trying to defend the Conservative side
because I don't like censorship, either. My point is they're being allowed to do it becuase the majority of the people either support it or don't care enough to try and change it. I really don't because letting the FCC keep their public broadcasting doesn't affect me in the least. I just don't give a shit about what they do, basically. Like I said, I'll fight tooth and nail over their takeover of cable and satellite, but until that happens, who gives a shit? Since it's taxpayer money and we must all be very PC , I suppos they'd rather our tax dollars prevent some people from being offended, while only annoying others. The FCC is a waste of tax money, but whatever. Heh.
If the opposite of pro is con, what is Congress?

Are their any polls for television censorship between liberals and conservatives. I'm sure conservatives would have the majority but I know many, many liberals that are for censorship as well.

Isn't that kind of un-liberal? And worse, un-American?
