I think the censorship is over-blown but there's not much you can do. I have cable and the FCC doesn't regualte that. I don't care if ABC, CBS, and NBC are not allowed to do things. Big deal.

Howard on Satellite means he can do whatever he wants, which I see as a plus. And stop acting like it's all Christianity's fault. People blame too much on it.

What pissed me off is that the FCC is looking to get legislation to regulate cable and satellite TV/radio as well. Of course, they can't since it's subscription-based. But Congress can change that. That, I see, as utter BS. There is too much regulation, and the Janet Jackson thing was a mistake but I could understand some parents having legitimate concerns about it. Still, 500 000 (the number of complaints the FCC recieved) is not a lot of people. It is, but the population of NYC is 2 million. Eh?

Either way, both sides have valid points, but the left screaming "It's Christianity's fault" is pointless. The Senate approved it 99-1 if I remember. From what I can remember, more than one person on that Senate is a Democrat...So clearly it's not just "the religious right"
Not to be nit picky, but the population of NYC is much closer to 10 million. It was well over 8 million at the 2000 census. Hell Philadelphia has well more than 5 million...

You say that "the left screaming 'It's Christianity's fault' is pointless" and "stop acting like it's all Christianity's fault" but you give no reasons or back up for any of them. Who or what is at fault then?

The FCC shouldn't receive any complaints. It was a live broadcast and it was a stunt pulled by Jackson and Timberlake I guess so really the complaints should have gone to her. The FCC is made responsible for something they have no control over and what is the result...more bullshit regulation.
But it don't take much to get me by
So just booze me up and get me high

The left will always scream that it is Christianity's fault which is complete bullshit. Christianity is the only group trying to keep society sane. If the left had their way, it would be ok for people to flash their private parts on Sesame Street. All I can say is thank god for Christianity.

That stunt they pulled had no room on public TV. It was for public viewing, which was completely un-called for. Oh wait, I forgot it is ok to show nudity because everyone should know about sex and their private parts... The left is crazy.
Godbless, Tadpole.

It is a hell of a lot better than feeling shame and guilt about natural things.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.
