Muslim lawmaker rages
after being served pork

A Muslim lawmaker on Monday night raged at a catering crewmember of a Chinese restaurant for serving her food with pork.

Rep. Faysah Dumarpa of Lanao del Sur reportedly slapped the crewmember, Virginia Fernando Altamirano, and held a bread knife at her.

Altamirano, 36, has filed a complaint against Dumarpa with the Quezon City police.

“It is forbidden in Islam for a believer to eat pork or its derivatives. To do so is a grievous sin. An intentional consumption of such meat would hinder me from gaining entrance to paradise. Beyond dietary concerns, this is a matter of faith,” Dumarpa said in a letter to Ramon Sy, head of the Shangri-La Finest Chinese Cuisine, which caters for congressmen during sessions at the South Lounge in the House of Representatives.

If I was the server, the second after she slapped me I would have broken her nose and taken that bread knife and shoved it down her throat. What the hell does a person expect when they are eating Chinese food? These muslims are getting tired pretty damn fast and a lot of people are sick of it. Who the hell do they think they are? The person alone is responsible for what you put in your mouth. I hope they keep this crap up because it is beginning to backfire in their face.

Next up. Complaints about items served with rice!

It's really annoying that the article only covers the "complaint" side, and doesn't include a response from other people in a position of authority.
Hopefully somebody will have a spine enough to label the assault what it was...

The article talks about "catering", so I guess other questions arise.
Regardless, anybody complaining about "sensitivity" who is guilty of slapping and holding a bread knife "at" somebody is demonstrating an incredibly ironic picture...

I agree. That is what the muslims are doing every day though. A bunch of em are murdering people, even other muslims, and then they are demanding we treat them with blind respect and bend over backwards because they're too damn stupid to know what they are putting in their lying mouth. It is ironic, I agree.

There are approximately 1.3 BILLION muslims in the world today.
The vast majority DO NOT behave as you describe.

How about we not judge the whole based on the actions of an extreme minority? Expecially when most of the whole interpret Islam as being EXPLICITLY AGAINST what the extremists do...

Otherwise, we could just as accurately claim that Christianity could be judged based on the KKK or Nazis...

Muslims all over the world are demanding we bend over for them. The riots in France are still going on. In the Netherlands they are mad because they are going to have to stop wearing their burkas in public. The muslims in Britain are demanding a special holiday. All over the world the muslims are demanding special treatment in one way or another. It's more than just the "few" who are murdering. There are millions demanding special rights.
I don't think there are millions of KKK members all over the world demanding special rights. Maybe you have seen some news stories I haven't.

I've eaten Chinese MANY times - and not ONCE have I "accidentally" eaten pork. If she didn't want to eat pork she could either have not ordered it, or not eaten it. Period.

Telling Muslims what they can't wear is the public telling the Muslims to bend over for them.
Furthermore, haven't you expressed frustration with rules that tell Christians not to wear religious jewelry in public?


And how many Christians demand that abortion and stem cell research from embryoes be outlawed because of their beliefs???
Christians getting angry because they can't have a monument up on governmental property, or Christians getting angry because they want discrimination against gays.

The article made repeated references to "catering". It's entirely possible that their food was brought out to them, and they never ordered anything.
And it's possible that they ordered something without realizing what it was.

Neither of the above excuses the story's described reactions from the Muslims.

I don't want to talk to anyone with their face covered. It's a screwed up religion. Assimilate or go back where you came from.
