I have heard Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity speak much more intolerent statements about people.
I will give you that. I should have not said that I know he is not racist, but rather that I feel he may not be racist. I don't know for sure if he is not racist.

I heard on the noon news that he is meeting with the Rutgers basketball team this week to apologize in person.

I don't know much about the man but that does sound like someone who is at least making an effort to take responsibility.
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

Well if that's true then I commend him. Everyone is entitled to a mistake, as long as they make it right (or try). I don't think this should be blown out of proportion, but I get mad. I have heard his show a lot. My mom listens to him and Rush Limbaugh, and they are both egotistical, racist assholes. But at least Imus isn't a drug addict...

I agree, I think it's a sad sign of how much hatred and intolerance still exists in America.

I agree, and I just don't find the the stuff very intellectually stimulating even if I'm just looking for entertainment.

Imus: “At the time I said it … I didn’t think it was racial. I wasn’t even thinking racial. I was thinking like a 'West Side Story' deal, like one side’s tough, one side’s not so tough," he said.

Sharpton: "You could be fired and the nicest guy in the world, but you ought to be fired … I will give you credit for showing up and I’ll even give you more credit if you decide to change your mind about resigning," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and about 50 others marched Monday outside the Chicago offices of NBC, the General Electric Co. subsidiary that owns MSNBC, carrying signs and shouting "Imus must go."

You know..this really pisses me off. The guy is apologizing, yet it seems that the only way for Sharpton to accept any type of apology is for the firing of Don Imus. We also have Jesse Jackson rooting for the firing of Don Imus. Hey Jesse, remember the affair you had which resulted in the birth of your daughter?? God and your wife apparently forgave you...why can't you forgive Don Imus like others have forgiven you??

Imus has been given a two-week suspension
