Depends
If they're like fucking nigger or "whattup nigga?" ME and my mates just sit around throwing racial slurs at eachother.

To be honest though; when I meet people, for example last week, I met this black kid that my friend is friends with. I was made uneasy by him by the fact he just kinda swooped in and took her and walked off with her and was acting all gangsta and trying to smooth-talk her and crap. When I see people act like that; i dont give a shit whether they're black or white; their demeanor spreads the stereotype that they're evidently trying hard to spread in the first place.

And I have a Chinese-English friend that I call Engrish ^_^ but humor aside I know what you mean. But honestly I don't think it matters if they're calling you a nigger in their heads or that they're so much more dangerous, because they're not doing anything. People will think what they want to think. What is sad is when it comes out in what they write (like that article) or what they do.
If the opposite of pro is con, what is Congress?

It's not necessarily that people willed themselves to think that way. When people are raised, they are exposed to certain things and that influences the way the are when they're older. If the distinction between the two articles was subconcious, it clearly says that the writer assumes a black person is not a resident and did not "find" bread in a grocery store, but just got finished "looting" one.
But it don't take much to get me by
So just booze me up and get me high

Right right, the journalist wrote the words and did not think the connotations were bad because it never occured to him. It was not a concious decision he made, it's just that the idea that white is the superior race has to be defeated at many, more subtle, subconcious levels. It is hard to detect and that's why we see slip ups like this. It never occurs to the person and that is the evil, even if it's their association and not a concious decision they made.

I don't think we really differ that much on our view. I just think it's lnot quite as dangerous as you, if I'm correct. You can't eliminate prejudice, no matter how hard you try. We all do it to one degree or another. Sucks but true.

I believe prejudice can be elminated, but you are right, everyone does it on some level.
