Property taxes are a different animal...

I know as much as we may like it, we are never exempt from all taxes, we still get hit hard from the payroll taxes. However, being exempt from the income tax was sure a nice thing at the time. Is this still the case Tad??

Furthermore, I believe that it will serve as an additional, much needed, and well deserved incentive for service. Right now the Military represents less than 1% of the total population... I am sure we can afford it. | I agree with you 100%. This is one of many great ideas; but the huge Republican Tax Cuts and huge Republican increases in spending makes these kinds of ideas impractical. Our National Debt, I like to call it the Debt Tax, is out of control. |

I think the per family average was about $180,000 or so. It's out of control, and frankly I think a great deal of it has to do with overspending on the military.
