Someone tries to hijack your plane... STAND UP AND ATTACK THE MOTHER FUCKER!!!

A couple people may be injured, but no hijacker can take you all... AND YOU RETAIN YOUR FREEDOM!!!

Americans are lazy and cowardly these days... Always want someone else to do the hard stuff for them, no matter the personal cost. Pathetic

That's what those people on that flight that crashed in Pennsylvania were trying to do. Although they prevented that plane from flying into wherever the terrorists were planning, like the White House, the Pentagon, whatever, they paid with their lives instead.

Instead of seeing however many more people died from that, it was only everybody inside the plane. The passengers who tried to take the plane were heroes instead, preventing more deaths from occurring.

Exactly my point. And if you believe a plane actually went down in PA then it IS a great example.

So we don't need to be illegally searched and probed at the air ports. We can handle this shit ourselves.

The fact of the matter is that if someone wants to blow something up badly enough, they are going to do and there is nothing anyone can do to prevent it.

I'm sure you know by now, Tad, that Al-Qaeda, judging by what we heard on the news yesterday, is supposed to be more stronger than ever.

Oh well. More intelligence is needed to hold them at bay, I guess. The law enforcement in Britain seems to be doing a great job so far.

Did you hear about the London-bound plane having to be diverted to JFK airport, when a passenger didn't go through the passenger security checkpoint, but went through employee checkpoint instead.

I guess for the years the platinum-award passenger has been traveling, he must get bored going through TSA.

I you attack the motherfucker than you would be in violation of his "rights." Some politically correct court would end up putting you behind bars instead of the shithead. That's what America has become.

which is like a homeowner shooting a burglar in his/her home, even though you he/she does NOT have a pernit to have a gun. Or if the burglar survives, he can sue the homeowner. Some things just never help.

And boy just when the homeowner thinks he did the right thing in defending his home, he gets cited for not having a permit to carry a gun. Sometimes the law stinks.

This is why I get so irritated with the "If someone had only had a gun" crowd.

When a lone gunman attacks a crowd of unarmed people, it is time to take a lesson from the old cowboy shows.

In short, as Ben Cartwright or Bret Maverick or Victoria Barkley might have put it, "you can't shoot us all at the same time."

It has been done. But the classroom of boys who disarmed their teacher's estranged husband or the emergency room workers who sedated a crazed gunman don't get the level of media play that the jocks cowering under desks while someone kills their classmates do.

Don't get me wrong, I am not blaming the victims. I just think that, if you are going to be a victim anyway, it is better to do your best to take the bastards out with you. (or better yet instead of you.)

Tad, I couldn't agree more. I can't believe how much of our freedom the majority of Americans are gladly willing to part with, all in the name of "safety."

Anyone who thinks we are more safe as a result of our actions in Afghanistan and Iraq is fooling themselves. Bush loves to say that "we are fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here."

There is nothing at all preventing "them" from coming here. Nor is there anything preventing people here, even people who were BORN here, from attacking us.

I was on a plane for work about a month after 9/11. Most everyone told me I was crazy. I have one friend who STILL refuses to fly, because he is convinced it is not safe. People, it will NEVER be completely safe.

Look, I'm 5 foot nothing and 120 pounds fully dressed and soaking wet. If someone wants to hijack my plane, I certainly can't stop them. So why would I stop flying? I have places to go.

For that matter, if some huge guy wants to grab my purse on a street corner here in downtown Chicago, I can't stop that either. But that doesn't keep me from walking down the street.

Life isn't about being safe, it's about LIVING. And I am not about to stop living because of what MIGHT happen.

Nor am I about to stop speaking out against the anti-American policies of the Bush administration. They are NOT working to keep us safe.

They are working to keep us NEUTRALIZED through fear, so they can do whatever they want, in order to follow their profit motive... regardless of how many people they kill, and regardless of whether or not the country survives.

Once I am inside the plane and in the air, I can't think of anything bad at that time. I always travel for pleasure, so I just look ahead to my destination, especially a place I've never been to before. So I pass the time by watching a movie on my DVD player.

As I have a hearing disabiility and cannot hear the movie and what the flight attendants are saying, I just have to look at them as they going through the safety procedures. When I watch the movie, I just use closed-captioning. The airlines don't have that.

We have good law enforcement, especially the CIA and FBI, that are trying to keep a tight lid on any wrongdoing that terrorists want to employ.
