Someone else leaves home to fight terror
USS Ronald Reagan Departs San Diego on Maiden Deployment

USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) departed San Diego Jan. 4 on a deployment to conduct naval operations in support of the Global War on Terrorism, as well as national and theater cooperative security commitments in the western Pacific. This will be the maiden deployment for the Navy’s newest Nimitz-class nuclear powered aircraft carrier.

Here's news that might shock you... but Iraq/Afghanistan is not in the Weastern Pacific... more or less it's strengthening our presence near Taiwan and Korea. So I don't know what this "support for thd global war on terror" crap is, but it's probably just to give the american people warm fuzzies about trying to end the war faster or some such BS.

Yeah, the Carrier that has been stationed in Korea for years now just recently returned back to the states to be decommissioned. Perhaps this is the one that will be replacing it?

Or perhaps its headed toward Pakistan, to "conduct operations against the war on terror." After knowing their ambitions as shown by recent events in the news

There was no carrier stationed in Korea. The only carriers over there are in Japan. We have no ships stationed in Korea.
