Former Taliban Spokesman Goes to Yale
A rather liberal link:
http://www.yaledailynews.com/article.asp?AID=32137

A rather conservative link:

I advise everyone to look at both.

Quite a strange and ironic coincidence. I'm not sure about this one, but he hasn't lashed out at anyone, on the contrary rather. He's being targetted because he's a former member of one of America's sworn enemies. Instead of giving him the cold-shoulder and deporting him, why not educate him? If every terrorist laid down their arms for a chance at an American education, would we say 'no' out of sheer contempt? Or would we say 'yes' out of the desire to change what's wrong with the world?

After all, Bush did say this is the land of second chances.

That should be interesting.

My school always has four or five students from Afganistan. One of our teachers was in the Peace Corps., and went to Afganistan. Right now, we have a guy named Gufran Terin, and a girl that I don't know.

Intellectual exchange should always be encouraged.

Hmm, perhaps if I protested out against America I'll be accepted into Ivy League.

Doubtfully.

I'm sure that the guy had to meet the same rigorous standards as everyone else... Well, except for the wealthy.

At any rate, it should be a good learning experience for him.
