Right. I agree. So they should allow all the men who can't handle that situation separate with honorable discharges and warn all perspective applicants about that possibility. It has never been assumed open homosexuality was a part of the armed forces. Perspective recruits should be told.
I think if the policy changes, then people will know and they can decide accordingly....and the immature homophobes need not apply or fight for their country and let the real men get out there and do the defending.

Homosexuality is not a lifestyle, but the military is. You have a choice to defend your country, but you have no choice in your sexual orientation; and what the hell has this to do with you? Go back to England and fight their policy, they seem to not have the problem with it that you have.
