I have no way to respond to this without a string of expletives. Maybe my rage will subside long enough for me to explain the utter stupidity and racism you've expressed.

Here is the link to the story about the general:

And the inspection teams were not allowed to visit everywhere. Saddam was given a deadline to comply and he did not. He was moving everything. The only ones rewriting history are the liberals and the UN.

You could always take a sedative and then go about proving me wrong.

Oh yeah. zero. We were not attacked by Iraq.

As for the Gulf War, Kuwait isn't the 51st state. KUWAIT was attacked.

Now, Bosnia is another matter... We helped stop a genocide there.
What in the wide wide world of sports does none of the hijackers on 09/11 have to do with Iraq????? I never heard Bush say this was was a war on the hijackers from 09/11. What I did hear Bush say is that this is a war on terrorism. No please explain to me why Saddam was not a sponsor of terrorism.

Kuwait is our ally.

There was genocide going on in Iraq also. I guess you must have missed those stories of the thousands and thousands of Iraqis killed and gased by Saddam.

You must have missed the stories where we gave Saddam chemical and biological weapons technology to fight the Soviets. Does "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" sound familiar? You said Iraq attacked us. We are not allies with Kuwait. We have no treaties with them that I know of. We just have oil interests there...

We need to get out from under the heel of certain countries in the Middle East, and stop buying from them.

Well, I don't do drugs, but I just had a lovely cup of tea, so I'm feeling a bit more mellow now.

Ahem...

"Black people" did not shoot at anyone. A couple of poor, desperate people did. There's no way to know what the race of anyone who shot anyone was, although since the poor of New Orleans are predominantly black, perhaps most of the shooters were. Some of the rescuers were black too. I fail to see the point of the statement you made.

Well, you did mention something about Iraq attacking us. Unfortunately, that never happened, which is why people are talking about the PREEMPTION DOCTRINE. PREEMPTIVE ACTION.

People wouldn't have been arguing for months and months about whether Saddam is a threat if Iraq had attacked the United States. Good god...
But it don't take much to get me by

If I said Iraq attacked the USA then I made an error and did not mean to say that. Are you really saying Kuwait is not our ally? They were not an official ally in 1991, but a business partner and keeping the oil going is in our interests. You have a car don't you and you use materials made from oil I know for a fact. Everyone does. Kuwait was recognized as an official Ally by the Pentagon in April of 2004 I believe.

You made the distinction that the media said whites were foraging while blacks were looting. It is a fact that most of the New Orleans police force is black and it is also a fact that a bunch of cops were looting stores. I saw one news story on TV and the announcer said a black man was shooting at rescuers. It is also a fact that neighborhoods in New Orleans have lords who run their respective neighborhoods. Those guys stayed behind to protect their interests.

Your political correctness is not going to "whitewash" the truth. I am just stating the facts and I could care less really.

The government was not in anyway bound to react to the Kuwaiti invasion. The Gulf War was pretty much the first instance of the post-Cold War "America, Fuck Yeah" foreign policy. We had oil interests and old friend of Rumsfeld and Bush Sr., Saddam really ticked them off. We had the will and the power to do something about it. Nobody could touch us and a handful of U.S. troops died. There was not that much of a cost. But it wasn't about loving Kuwait, that's for damn sure.
