The Supreme Leader of Iran is responsible for the delineation and supervision of "the general policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran". The Supreme Leader is Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, controls the military intelligence and security operations; and has sole power to declare war. The heads of the judiciary, state radio and television networks, the commanders of the police and military forces and six of the twelve members of the Council of Guardians are appointed by the Supreme Leader.
It doesn't say "control of oil and/or economic considerations" anywhere in the description of the job.

Listen i don't really undestand what basis you have for claiming that Iraq sponsored terrorism, other than the rhetoric spewed by Bush.

The FACT is that Saddam SPECIFICALLY would not allow Al- Qaeda to work in Iraq because Osama wanted to topple Saddam. So conclusion # 1 is that Iraq is NOT Al-Qaeda.

IT is a proven FACT that most Al-Qaeda funding comes fromSaudi Arabia.

It is a FACT that On a humanitarian level, Saudi Arabia is more discriminatory towards women and minorities. It is a fact that it is a hereditary dictatorship with no democracy.

If protecting Kuwait was so important, then why didn't the US finish the job in 91? WHy wait more than a decade to invade AGAIN?

It is a FACT that NO WMDs have been found. This was in fact already established by Hans Blix, but apparently US intelligence was more accurate. But hey no WMDs.

It is a FACT that Iraq has NEVER attacked the US. EVER!!!

Look there is NO LINK between Saddam and Al-qaeda. The fact that AQ has influence in Iraq NOW is thanks to the US removing saddam so AQ could work freely.

The fact that somehow networks like FOX keep repeating this blatant untruth, as does your president.

Just to recap:

1)AQ had no links to Saddam or Iraq. Saudi Arabia has the MOST links to AQ.

2)Iraq has never attacked the US

Now i would like you to tell me if the above statements are untrue. If you think so then lets talk about it.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Oh, I see. You think that "Supreme Leader" is just a figurehead? What do you think he does?

The Council On Foreign Relations---Nonpartisan Group

Has Iraq sponsored terrorism?
Yes. Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship provided headquarters, operating bases, training camps, and other support to terrorist groups fighting the governments of neighboring Turkey and Iran, as well as to hard-line Palestinian groups. During the 1991 Gulf War, Saddam commissioned several failed terrorist attacks on U.S. facilities. Prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the State Department listed Iraq as a state sponsor of terrorism. The question of Iraq’s link to terrorism grew more urgent with Saddam’s suspected determination to develop weapons of mass destruction (WMD), which Bush administration officials feared he might share with terrorists who could launch devastating attacks against the United States.

There are terrorists in Ireland, should we go after them too?

No, this was a direct link to 9/11 via Al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq.
