There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Tell me where in the report that it says there is a connection between 09/11 and Iraq? You cant' because there is none. Address the report. The report says there was a connection between Iraq and Terrorism. I never said a thing about 09/11, you did. Are you being dishonest? Me thinks so. Try the bait and switch on someone else because it don't work with me. Here is the text again.

The Council On Foreign Relations---Nonpartisan Group

Has Iraq sponsored terrorism?
Yes. Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship provided headquarters, operating bases, training camps, and other support to terrorist groups fighting the governments of neighboring Turkey and Iran, as well as to hard-line Palestinian groups. During the 1991 Gulf War, Saddam commissioned several failed terrorist attacks on U.S. facilities. Prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the State Department listed Iraq as a state sponsor of terrorism. The question of Iraq’s link to terrorism grew more urgent with Saddam’s suspected determination to develop weapons of mass destruction (WMD), which Bush administration officials feared he might share with terrorists who could launch devastating attacks against the United States.

No mention of 09/11. We were talking about terrorism, not 09/11. Your bait and switch didn't work. Try again.

They don't have access to all of the information, necissarily. The CIA publicly stated that there was no connection between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein.

Why does you guys keep using the bait and switch? Al qaeda is not even mentioned in the report. It is a report on terrorism. Al Queda is not the only muslim terrorist organization killing innocent people. You guys are really hung up on Al Queda. You really need to find some new talking points at moveon.org.

oh yeah .. the ole bait and switch... been seen before.. like here:

Still you have something right in the sense that AQ is NOT the only terrorist outfit on the planet.

However what are these terrorist activities that iraq and iran are involved in? Seriously out of curiosity i wanna know.

Btw gassing the kurds was internal politics so that does not count as a reason. I say this because there are many MANY other examples of such measures taken by governments the world over that are NOT invaded by the US.

Anyhow lets see where this goes

You never heard of the suicide belts that were being manufactured in Iraq and found during the invasion? Saddam was also giving $25000 to the familes of the suicide bombers. You must have been at a prayer meeting when the press released that info.

As for Iran, you can dive into this:

Can you tell me how suicide belts are any different from napalm, frag grenades, missiles etc etc? All of the above are used to kill people , and none of the above care about human life.

What should prevent anybody from calling the US a terrorist state when it possesses such a wide variety of man-killing machinery. Just because a suicide belt has a human strapped to it does not make it any different from a tomahawk missile.

As far as i understand, the family of a soldier killed in action receive his pension no? I think that would amount to more than $25000 over the years. does that mean that the US supports the families of those who kill, koreans, vietnamese afghanis and iraqis?

I am not trying to sanctify the west or muslims or anything. I know that those belts were gonna be used to kill innocent people. However so are the guns and artillery of the US.

Too often this ends in you flinging insults at me alias, but can you not see that i am not trying to blame the US for everything. I am just trying to explain that the US is the SAME as the rest of the world.

The napalm, frag gernades, missiles, etc are all designed - IN PRIMARY FUNCTION - to be used on MILITARY TARGETS.

SUICIDE BOMBERS ATTACK INNOCENT CIVILIANS FIRST AND FOREMOST. BIG DIFFERENCE!
