Well, I diden't know where to put this. Make my own category? lol I just read an article about how our wonderful president just felt terrible. He accidently razzed one of the journalists about his sunglasses and found out he needed them because he has a degenerative eye disease. The guy wasn't offended, he hadn't told anyone at work, he said.
Once again, my non-linear brain took off. How could a man that had sent our best young people, think it is 2500 American Service Men and Women killed so far, over to fight in a country that we really had no business being in. We heard weapons of mass destruction and of course we were concerned. But, here is the thing...After all of the lives lost and money thrown good after bad, Bin Laden is still free as a bird. Does anyone but me just find this appalling?? How was Iraq involved in our Twin Towers? Peripherally at best. Yet we have lost our sons, daughters, fathers and mothers to be killed thousands of miles away from loved ones based on a lie and no one in power being able to say, well, maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Maybe we were, dare I say it, WRONG!!??
Well, back to my main point, FINALLY......It just boggles my mind that this man, our wonderful commander in chief, just feels sooooo bad when he accidently offends someone, yet has sent and continues to send our best and brightest to die for, what exactly? Oh yes, so that terrorism could move to a country next door to this one instead. OK, I feel better for venting. Thank you, past and present defenders of the United States... Without you, we coulden't vent in public like this. And that is the least of which that they bought with their blood. Bless you
