Why not? A two-man team would be sufficient for many purposes. If you sneak up behind them what are they gonna do? They sure as hell aren't going to be badass and try and spin around and knock the gun out of their hands and shoot them in the face. It's definitely possible. A full platoon could have been too easy of a target for the area of Baghdad they were in.

I believe the government? Hardly!

I just don't go around making up stupid stories that cannot be either confirmed or refuted.

How 'bout I make up the story that aliens swooped down, plucked these two soldiers out of the Hummer, did all kinds of experiments on them, killed them, and dumped their bodies in the desert.

Now... prove me wrong!

You lie intangible child. The elected government by the people of Iraq want us to stay until the country can defend itself from the murdering thugs you defend. That is when we will leave and not until. No cry and stamp your feet and post some more propaganda.

Yeah, Saddam is gone and it's not worth it to just bail out because the insurgents will take over the government. After that happens, and Iraq allies with Iran, America would be blamed for not having done enough to prevent Iraq from completely crumbling.

We're building a government from scratch, here. We did found hundreds of shells of Sarin nerve agent. We have every reason to make sure the insurgency doesn't take over the government. We should be out ASAP, but being out ASAP means finishing the job and making damn sure Iraq can defend itself.

Leaving Iraq to defends itself right now would be like leaving a baby to defend itself against wolves. Not happening.

I agree. We cannot walk away until the job is done. Our soliders must be honored. No one can say they support the troops and not support the troops job. That is a lie.

They do
and they can choose to defy them if they so choose, and they wouldn't join in the first place if they didn't mind going to Iraq. So you're acting as though the troops are just victims of the Bush administration. The only ones that I could understand being screwed over are those who joined prior to Sept 11 who are still on tours of duty and were unable to get discharged. They are not in the majority, though.

That's right. A person on a job has orders to follow or they don't have a job. It's a lie. Some day when you grow up you'll figure that out.
