| No infidels1!11!!! Any Muslim who helps infidels is not a Muslim!!!1!! I truly believe if we make this successful it will do a lot ot help America in the long-run. Running at this point would just be an invitation to be fucked around with. Look at South Korea. It took 3 decades for them to have their first truly democratic government (late 80s, early 90s??). I'm not terribly supportive of this war, but I think the risks of pulling out now far outweigh the risks of staying in there. More Americans have been injured than in any other war (except WWII?) to my knowledge, but that would be because less are dying, because they are more highly skilled, and better-protected. Loadign them down with armor puts them more at risk, and some soldiers have been threatened with pay cuts or loss of rank in order to force them to wear the neck protectors, which limit mobility a hell of a lot. We have a very highly skilled military. We just need to adapt to the guerilla-style of warfare. Iraqis will die. It happens. Look at how precise bombings are, though. We take out a single house, and everyone whines about how two or three people died next door. It's terrible, but nobody complained when we fire-bombed Dresden to the ground, or carpet-bombed Vietnam. The insurgents are killing more citizens than the US. If the opposite of pro is con, what is Congress? | |||||||||||||||||||||
