I don't you fully understand the situation. That's kind of stupid. You can't "just as easily say Palestine is occupying Israel". That doesn't make sense. Here, let me show a map for you, courtesy CIA World Factbook:

Israel has a military occupation of Palestine, as well as Golan Heights.

Now I don't think you're giving quite a fair share due to hidden biases. If Egypt moved into the Gaza Strip, then all of a sudden its a tyranical and imperialistic act of aggression which should be quelled. If Syria takes Golan Heights, likewise. Yet when Israel invades, occupies, and colonizes land; its perfectly fine. Even when the Israeli military occupation is just as or worse than an occupation by Syria or an Arab or other Islamic nation. When people fight against aggresive regimes like Iraq or Syria, then its "freedom fighting", yet when people fight against Israeli occupation, all of a sudden its "terrorism". I think there is a lot of hidden biases going on in this issue, and possibly a lot of racism and perhaps preconcieved notions of other religions.

I've seen the map before. Clearly, the pals being divided is not going to solve anything. In my opinion, The pals should give up the Gaza strip so they have one country and can become a nation. Israel moved their citizens out of there and the Pals are still not happy. There have been numerous offers for permanent peace with the Pals and always rejected. Why is Israel always the one who has to give concessions. With all those Muslims nations surrounding Israel, why are they not willing to accept the Pals. Lots of people want Europe to make a nation for Israel when the middle east is their home just like the Pals home. What is preventing Iran and Syria and Jordon from taking them in as citizens? Lots of questions for you to answer.

Israel pulled out of the Golan Heights ages ago, and they were making an effort to move out of the occupied territories before Hamas was elected. Israel has consistantly honored the original UN arrangement, which was rejected by the Arabs.
