 | Operation Northwoods, although something that never happened, certainly does spell out to the American people that there have proven to be precendents set that is certainly of the same level of a possible conspiracy on 9/11. Operation Northwoods, which speaks of terrorizing our own people to provide justification for the invasion of Cuba, was signed by even a Democratic administration. If liberals were willing to do that, then just might what neo-conservatives be willing to do? Especially ones that were backers of the Project of the New American Century, which speaks of the necessity of a "new Pearl Harbor" to assure American military dominance in the world. Especially a President, who was talking about the possibility of flying a UN aircraft over Iraq and lure Saddam to shoot it down to provide justification for war (link).
