Breisheit (Genesis) Six is all about Noah and the flood.

I really see why I should bother having to argue against such ludicrous nonsense. None of this proves that Jews are pathological liars. Also, the whole "Khazar" thing is incorrect, since genetic evidence has shown that Jews of Ashkenazi and Sephardic descent do indeed hail from the Middle East.

Er... Quick glossary entry for the goyim out there. ; )

Midrash is folklore associated with the Torah or based on Torah stories, but which is not believed to have actually happened by even most Orthodox Jews, and is generally used to illustrate a point or moral of some kind. Many of them are actually awesome children's stories that I loved to listen to when I was growing up; Others are more serious or adult.

Look dude, I'm an agnostic, but you don't have to go insulting religious beliefs, or claim that they make people pathological liars. As far as I'm concerned, most religious "history" is rooted in bullshit. I mean, walking on water? Psh, please. Living off of bird droppings for years? Right. Whatever (That's Buddha in case anyone was wondering). Knocking down the walls of a city with a shofar (ram's horn hollowed out to make a sort of musical instrument)? I don't think so.

There is Jewish history, and the Jews are a people, but the Torah is a religious text. It's not the best place to find cultural history. Oh, it hints alright, I mean, myths tend to have some sort of basis or at least inspiration from fact, but that doesn't make them a historical record.

Oh, and I think the Torah is a bit more special than a Harry Potter novel.
