| Heard on the news tonight that since the January elections in Iraq, us deaths have been at an all time low as well as terrorist attacks. I'm sure it is just progress from here on. As for Iran and North Korea...that's gonna be tough. | |

| I say if the draft comes and all you hippies jump ship, We shouldnt allow you back in the country and erect a 50 foot fence and have all your belongings on this side. And then while your watching we light on fire what you left behind because apparently it wasnt important enough to you. People who dodge the draft shouldnt reap the rewards of those who faught and died for our freedom. Republicans have Morals. Liberals just have feelings. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| You can just consider "the draft" a scare tactic used by the left to help Kerry in the elections. I remember reading in everyones AIM profiles, "if you elect Bush, you are going over to Iraq." Can't believe so many people fell for that. I actually had a debate with one of my friends at work about the draft and I mentioned, "A democrat in office introduced this bill (the draft)". In response my friend said, "He did this to warn people that under the Bush Administration, most likely their will be a draft". Can you feel the lies? | |

| I know the draft won't come. Im just saying IF (thats the keyword) it does then that should happen. I know how those liberals use their scare tactics and lies to try and get you to do what they want. Then the actors try and tell us about politics. There are only 2 good actors. Arnold and the very best Ronald Reagan. The 2 best actor politicians. I like arnold because hes a republican govenor in a highly liberal state. Republicans have Morals. Liberals just have feelings. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| During the 2004 presidential election season, the youth of America were told of an impending draft, should George W. Bush be re-elected, in order to scare you into voting Democrat. Included in this group of draft alarmists and fear mongers were members of Punkvoter, MTV’s Rock the Vote, and columnists including Paul Krugman. With the defeat of John Kerry we have to ask ourselves…where’s the draft we were told to fear? Some memorable draft quotes: Bush recently threw a bunch of Pentagon money into the Selective Services to try and fire up the draft board. Of course, they’re not going to announce the draft unless Bush gets re-elected-that’s when they’ll spring it on people. – Jello Biafra, Ex-Dead Kennedys (Alternative Press, Issue #192, July 2004) I think it’s especially important for young people to be involved, because I have no doubt that if Bush is re-elected, the draft will come back. - Justin Sane, Anti-Flag (Alternative Press, Issue #192, July 2004) The U.S. Army is stretched about as far as it can go. The Defense Department is using every measure at its disposal to maintain the military's ranks. - MTV’s Rock the Vote [Bush] insists that he won't revive the draft. But the facts suggest that he will. – Columnist Paul Krugman 84days 7hrs 39mins is how long it has been since bush has been reelected and no draft................... yeah where is the draft? anyways.. http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/asiapc...law/index.html that is the next big thing | |||||||||||||||||||||

If anything happened that needed our attention anywhere in the world right now a draft would need to be implemented. It seems we are on the border line now with operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

When recruiting goals aren't being met as it is... How could we not be spread thin? If any other major conflict occurred right now it would mean big trouble for us. Wouldn't you say that is pretty vulnerable?
