| No, Ruby was a club owner but he was a mob wanna-be. He thought if he killed Oswald it would help him climb the ladder in the mob that he was desperately trying to climb. It was a call for attention, partially driven by a pyschological desire to be the center of attention. What is amazing is these conditions are strangely similar to the conditions surrounding Oswald and his shooting of JFK.
