It's a RELIGIOUS prejudice, typically promulgated by OTHER RELIGIONS like Christianity and Islam.

1) Muslim terrorists make up only a part of all Muslims.

2) Catholics make up at least 25% of all Christians in the U.S.
The next largest sect is Baptist with about 17-18%.
After that, Methodists and their total isn't even 1/3 of the total number of Catholics.

Catholics are the LARGEST SECT of Christianity in the U.S.

OhDear's link showed more murders by Christians, and for THAT you suddenly realize that you need to subdivide it down to which group was actually doing killing...
But for Muslims, you just can't comprehend that...

There are not anywhere near as many Christians doing what your so-called muslim minority are doing. We have 20 million in Indonesia alone who believe violence to further Islam is justified. 20 million. Now you find me 20 million Christians in A Christian country who believe in violence to further Christianity.

Why do we have to argue about who killed more people? I don't see dear ol' Kat chiming in to defend the atheists.

The fact is, I believe we all are capable of murder, and that in our own hearts, whether by embracing a religious mindset or not. What seems to produce the act of what we are all capable of is when we demand things be our way.

Whether religion sponsors that lust to control or not.

Jesus=peace, love, forgiveness.

Mohammed=murder, violence, pedophilia.

I'm calling that site a bunch of BS because it is. It's little more than an opinionated debate forum - much like this. So just because somebody, on a debate forum, comes up with a cutesy little GIF display, is no reason for me to take it seriously.

Islam is responsible for 500,000 deaths in the last century? Haaaa! That's absurd! Not only are there no sources cited, whoever made that cute little dealie is comparing 100 years of Islam with 1500 years of Catholicism. That's a little dishonest, isn't it?

Now, before you bounce off into your next assumption, NO I am NOT Catholic. And NO I do NOT defend, in any way, the Crusades. They were stupid and wrong. But let's do some history research here. The Crusades were NOT the result of some Pope with a boner saying, "Hey, I think maybe I ought to have my armies go kill a couple thousand people..."

The Crusades were a DIRECT RESULT OF MUSLIM WARFARE, AGRESSION AND SLAUGHTER. To deny that is to admit idiocy.

I see! Thanks for pointing that out, the comparing of 100 years to 1500! I did not look to see if there were sources cited, my bad. I received that in an email from someone a few months ago and had not opened it since, I do not remember Poland being singled out previously.
All the same, I did not do my homework, and am sorry I posted it for the way it rubbed folk the wrong way.
