Great quote
Bush: I think immediate withdrawal from Iraq would be a mistake," he said. "I think those who advocate immediate withdrawal from not only Iraq but the Middle East are advocating a policy that would weaken the United States."

Sheehan: This is the biggest smokescreen from him yet. I didn't ask him to withdraw the troops, I asked him what Noble Cause did Casey die for. I am still waiting for one of the press corps to ask him that. I am still waiting for that answer. First, we were told WMDs: false. Then we were told Saddam=Osama: false. Then we were told Saddam was a bad man to his own people and we had to get rid of him: he's gone. Then we were told the Iraqi people had to have elections: they did. Now we are spreading "freedom and democracy" but we are building 14 permanent bases, some the size of Sacramento, Ca. To me that indicates that we are spreading the cancer of imperialism and usurping THEIR natural resources.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

What Cindy Sheehan Really Wants
Now imagine if she gets it.
By Christopher Hitchens

http://slate.msn.com/id/2124788/

The media have been acting as her megaphone. After Slate published her real opinions on politics (a weird confection of pacifism with paranoid anti-Zionism) last Monday, she was eventually asked about her statement that her son Casey had been killed in a war for Israel, and she denied ever having made it. So, we must now say that, as well as being a vulgar producer of her own spectacle, and an embarrassment to her family, Cindy Sheehan is at best a shifty fantasist.

I don't see what the big deal is about her comments in that letter even if those were her words.

Oh please, this kind of shit is all you ever hear from the conservative media. They're only attacking her politics because she poses a threat to those who think the Iraq war is justified.

When you can't find faults in an individual's argument, you can discredit him/her by finding their faults as individuals.

Three words: Crock of shit.
\"Are we justified in using articles, no matter how convenient it may be for us to use them, that we know were produced in conditions which bored and even stultified the human beings who had to make them?\"

I'm just going to add a little spin here...

One mother who lost a son in Iraq joined the protest against Cindy Sheehan in Texas. She gave a powerful speech about the war and then said one thing that really made me think. She said that if we pull our troops out of Iraq, what does that make of her son that was killed in action?

I wouldn't think it makes him any less honorable.

Should the troops stay in Iraq to honor those who died by completing whatever bullshit mission George Bush burdened them with, or should they pull out because the scheming behind the bullshit mission has been blown wide open and half of America now questions our cause over there?

I think this woman needs to shut her god damn face. I do not support the war in Iraq, but this bitch Sheehan has no clue what it means to be a part of the Military, and she has no clue about things she'd demanding. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see us bring our boys home, but I don't want this Left Wing Liberal Whack job being the god damn poster child of the anti-war movement.
Fight the good fight, and die with the enemy's heart in your hand.
