I really DON'T think that's the kind of food - or in the price range - that is being used for contractors overseas.

Now, on a side note, I'd appreciate any Cracker Barrel Gift Certificates T&C could send my way!
Sodexho was the name of the company with the actual contract for Desert Storm. It is a affiliate of Cracker Barrel.
They were ready by January 2002 to enter another bid. They weren't asked at all. Care to provide some proof that this is not true?

I suppose you think a company who works on oil rigs was better prepare.

1. You have provided no evidence of this.
2. Who DID get the contract?

1. You didn't ask fo proof. You just tried to debunk this with your opinion again. What else is new. It was something I have first hand experience with, you debunk it.
2. We both know that Halliburton got the contract with no bid.

Halliburton got the contract to provide food for their own workers? Funny how THAT might work!

And it's YOU that's making this claim, not me.

Don't try to change this around, Halliburton got the Contract to provide food for the Armed Forces also, not just it's workers.
I told you I have first hand info on this. If you had researched at all, before putting your foot in your mouth, you would know my statemets to be true.
So, either just out right call me a liar or try and provide proof of your claim.

This act, in my mind, is illegal...and very unfair for US businesses in general since such a deal reeks of corruption.

And, to say that another company (US-based or otherwise) couldn't provide a similar service or set of services is outright incorrect...no matter what Halliburton's stock price might be.

That's funny, because in the Sodexho webpage, they claim that THEY have the food contract for the Marines.

How is this possible?

Here is what you read on the site, nothing to do with Iraq: Sodexho USA proudly serves as the official food service provider for the US Marine Corps.

Halliburton has the exclusive contract in Iraq, which we all know was bidless.

The closest they get is a contract for the Afghanistan Cafeteria Maintenance, at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, for under million.
They provide service for the Marines across the eastern US.
I'll say it again, they were ready and were never asked for a bid.
