| Blah Blah Blah. If that is the case you seem to be right at home. Your refusal to address my questions here, and in the other posts, makes for even cheaper talk. Typical Party-boy contridiction. Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour There are many men of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle. ~Alexis de Tocqueville | |||||||||||||||||||||

You started the rhetoric thing. Either you'll debate or you won't. If you won't what does this make your words? r-h-e-t-o-r-i-c. | I have yet to see 1 question from your posts. But let's talk about the real world. We live with a 2 party system, at this time, you choose one or the other or you 1) Waste your vote. 2) Get someone elected who should not be. Your fantasy land does not exist at this time. No matter how much rhetoric you throw at it.

| In my post I asked: What is your definition of this word and how are my statements rhetoric? Isn't it only rhetoric(I am assuming your definiton of rhetoric) because it directly opposes your political alignment? Yet to see, or conviniently avoided? Quote:
Here is the post you claimed was rhetoric. Quote:
And I supplied a link. This is what you are suppose to do. It is not rhetoric. I upset you because I said: Quote:

I would like to explain my view on facism in America. I don't believe it comes down to political parties, it comes down to income. Our governments congressional voting system is set up to provide for the whims of powerful C.E.O.s and the big industries. Each vote cast is not reflective of the politician's constituents. It is reflective of the perks and political donations offered by the lobbists. Both parties are guilty of this. I think a complete overhaul is need to fix this situation. The problem with fixing it is the fixers are the problem. Its like children in charge of the chocolates. If you put the people with millions incharge, they are going to do what is best for for big money. In the lime-light the well known inconsistances and conflicts of interests are: Cheney-Halliburton and Bush-big oil. But there are hundreds of other smaller ones, thanks to our lobbists. It is not a bad thing to say you don't trust the government. Nor would I say it is a bad thig to be anti-fascist. I always push for an alternative. To me the PDA is it. I spoke at a rally for the de-escalation of troops as guest speaker for the RI PDA. I was invited because I am a ordained minister of Humanism and they saw my site at Care2. I spoke, and my speech is posted here some place. The reason I tell you this is because I know for fact that the PDA is very serious about becoming a political party. They will have a candidate but they won't have an actual party registered in 2008. They are really picking up steam and backing and maybe a seperate party by 2012. This is my hope for the near future. I also think instant run-off voting is a good adjustment to our voting flaws. Instant Runoff Voting I am a member of the PDA and these people are concerned with the future of politics. If they can get a foot hold then run off voting is another possiblity. I would have to argue that this is not fantasy. Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour There are many men of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle. ~Alexis de Tocqueville Last edited by tyreay; 03-18-2007 at 08:39 AM.
