As this situation is developing, it leads me to conclude that Iran's actions are, in essence, an act of war.

The Brits need to make a very firm stand against Iran's actions...through military means if necessary.

I agree. I really do hope they can work it out other wise though, however unlikly that may be. If shots are fired, this is going to get REAL ugly.

Yes you are absolutely right. And if we invade Iran and piss of China, how are supposed to defend ourselves when its already taking all of our active duty, reserves, guard, and some inactive reserves to police Iraq? It's funny how the US is leading the global war on terrorism but most of the world views the US as the terrorists. I am honestly afraid of what is going to happen if we continue to piss off the world. I feel WW3 coming on and with the amount of nuclear weapons the world has, there is no doubt in my mind that it will be our demise. Only one enemy jet has to make it over one of our nuclear sites and were done by our own weapons. We need to start thinking about storing our nukes somewhere else.

They have there hand in this cookie jar BIG time. how are supposed to defend ourselves when its already taking all of our active duty, reserves, guard, and some inactive reserves to police Iraq?I dont think we are as held down as some like to think. Nor do I believe any country in the world can hang with us in a conventional war. We spend 5 times that of both Russia and China per year. It's funny how the US is leading the global war on terrorism but most of the world views the US as the terrorists. Its not funny at all. Really it is quite sad. The world just doesnt have the stomach to do what is nesessary in war anymore. Take ww2 for example. It was a fairly short war, cause we came in and killed as many people as possible, as soon as possible, Unfortunaly that what it takes to win war. We could have done the same in Iraq, and this whole mess would be long over. But report after report of civilian deaths, cause us to hold back big time. Hence the mess we are in now. I am honestly afraid of what is going to happen if we continue to piss off the world. It gets far more scary than that az. Our enemy isnt going to try to bomb us with a plane, or with long range missles. There going to (and most likely already are) going to build very small suit case size nukes, and smuggle possibly hundreds of them across the Mexican, or Canadian boarder. And if you doubt its possible, take a look at the amount of illegal drugs that cross our boarder every day. Or the million illegal immigrants that cross every year.

Its the same for Israel, Iran isnt going to launch a nuclear strike against them. They are going to build small nukes, hand them over to there local terrorists, and they will just walk them into Israel.

First of all, my friend, I never said they weren't in Iraqi waters. I stated that it would be impossible to tell, as bystanders reading news, where they were. Really, who cares? They were released.
I would like to point out the link povided is to the royal nav web site. Not saying they are wrong but this would be like me using a Iranian government link to prove the were in Iran.

How about if we piss off China the money supporting our country will be shut off and our economy will crash. They are funding our spiral into more debt.
