As maybe if Yahoo didn't have enough people to babysit, Tad.

Like I said earlier, one member of our old Yahoo group created the St. Lucia board when Yahoo went to a new format. We were hoping that it would be troll free, and that trolls like Gary, for example would not find us.

Yeah, that's what we thought. So, Gary be diligent, persevering, as well as the other trollers, found us. And destoyed that board. As you know, we can't have a decent conversation on that board anymore with such filth and nastiness coming from the trollers who would post the "N" word for African-Americans; post the "F" word for gays and lesbians; and take full advantage of anybody's happiness.

They are just nasty, period.

And Yahoo, all they can do is slap someone's hand, which never helps any. I implored Yahoo to delete the board. Either they can't read, don't care, or have too much else to do than to babysit a board.

I never seen you on the St. Lucia board, Tad. Have you ever posted on it? The DTT board is probably the best board right now, for which I thank you for helping to creating/moderating it. I have my own board, which is moderate by me. And so far, it is doing fine. No trolls there.

Now Gary is free to dispute anything he wants when he sees this thread. I don't care.

Except for you know who, I invite anybody here to give a better answer.

Welcome aboard! I love coffee (the drink, though I am sure I may come to love the person) too!

Perhaps she can help shed some light on the subject of this thread?

I have never posted to a Yahoo! board, and I never would... I refuse to partake in unmoderated forums. That's part of the reason for the thread, I am trying to figure out the appeal...

At the time, I was just following a news article thread. Clicked the news article's 'discuss this story' link and met some wonderful people that way. When the troll gang started trolling us there, we created boards or moved to other boards, so we could discuss things of intrest, and they just found us after a bit again.

We've set up boards of our own, moderated. Yet they still found us and would try to join there as well. And as you've seen here, even joining a moderated board hasn't stopped them from joining and continueing on with their habits. They've followed us to gaming sites that are moderated, to try and stir up trouble, they've joined blog/journal sites as a means to stalk us then post their twisted versions of posts/comments we've made elsewhere on the yahoo boards, you name it.

Heck, they even got into a woman's group I was a member of, and then posted information from there on yahoo?

I've seen them create name IDs of us all here, send e-mails to those in our group as a means to try and create dissention between us, get people to leave group boards we've started under those impersonator IDs, you name it. All in an attempt to cause personal pain, dissention, and ill will between ourselves.

So far, it doesn't matter if we all talk on a moderated or unmoderated forum actually. Because as we've all learned from that particular group, they're willing to go to any lengths to harrass us on-line. And that's their goal...To get us off-line, disconnected from the friendships we've formed, just because they like to bully others.

The yahoo boards aren't appealing. It's the few 'real' people that you meet that aren't trolls that are appealing. There's a number of intelligent, caring, and kind people that are there just to discuss topics and enjoy good conversations. Unfortunately, to get to know them we end up having to wade through the junk left behind by the trolls. Or become targets of those trolls in order to enjoy the company of the legitamite posters.

That's smart. Good for you, Tad. Don't post on that board. You will be at the mercy of the trolls, just like mosquitoes attacking the human flesh.

That's what those trolls do. They take advantage of our happiness in life, and try to make us look like fools.

Most on that board are gays/lesbians. Some are straight, like me. And the trolls have one thing on their mind: spread their hate.

Can you understand the appeal now?

Also, tad, there is a certain amount of stress relief that can come with troll-whacking.

There was one woman (at least it claimed to be a woman) who was, if what she claimed in her posts were true, one of the most ignorant, self-centered people I've ever come across (you who posted know exactly who I'm talking about).

Hrcuteness called her 'my internet squishy toy'. LOLOLOL
