Tonight, I'm preparing two main courses...One for hubby and one for my mother and I, since hubby is allergic to seafood. LOL!

So tonight's menu is:

Hubby's main course-
1 inch grilled T-bone steak w/onions-mushroom topping
Fully loaded baked potatoe
Steamed broccoli w/cheese sauce

Mom and my main course-
Seafood-Leek-Artichoke Bisque: The seafood used is shrimp, crab claw meat, lobster, scallops, and crawfish

The rest of the menu for both mains are:
Apple-Walnut Salad w/home-made blue cheese dressing
Home-made honey wheat bread w/dilled butter
Apple Spiced Iced Tea
Home-made Bailey Irish Cream Cheesecake

If you have the time, you need to get on your computer and go to Microsoft Publisher. There, you can create a menu of what you are going to fix for dinner.

First, it would be Ali the waitress. Then Ali the chef. No need to think who is going to be washing the dishes.

Nah...No need to. I have an eraseable writting board on the fridge, with the weekly menu plan as is...That way, it's easier to change the menu if plans change week to week (or day to day).

I'm the same way, Ali. My menus change constantly, with the day to day dinner plans. Sometimes guests, sometimes dining out. sometimes by request. sometimes (rarely, these days) I fix whatever I might be in the mood for.
Like tonight; I will be making turkey salad from all the leftover holiday turkey. My dad just loves turkey salad and always has. His lips are already drooling.
I apologize that I haven't spoken to you lately. I've been a little busy on a couple of other threads that had evolved into a hate-fest. They've calmed down somewhat; so I can get back to where it's enjoyable for me!

LOL! Well, I for one am taking a vacation from cooking...I did enough during the holidays and need the break.

IF I can muster up the energy, I might make some turkey gumbo this week. But I'm not going to say for sure.

Welcome, my sweet dear Ali. I miss you so much, that I cried buckets.
