LOL! That's almost close to what my hubby may have, unless he has the energy to cook us something...If he doesn't cook, it'll be Raisin Crunch for him and I can happily not eat.

IF I can muster up the energy, I might make some turkey gumbo this week. But I'm not going to say for sure.
Were you able to try any of the recipes I sent you? I'm they turned out for you just anxious to know how they turned out for you. My bracciole turned out really great. I fact, I think it was my best ever. I'm going to play around with the meat stuffing recipe a little before the next time I make it.
I've used up all of the remaing leftover turkey from the holidays when I made the turkey salad. Two of my brothers came to visit and wiped most of that out. I am now starting to see the end of all holiday leftovers- now it's time to go create some more dishes!

Er, I should have said "Welcome Back". The soggy feeling you had may be the rain we had over the weekend. And yep, it contributed to me crying buckets over your absence here on DTT.

I had granola with raisins this morning. I grilled a couple of steaks from the George Foreman grill last night. Tonight, it will be FF take-out from I don't know where.

I did the torte and cheesecake recipes you sent me...And they deffinately were a hit with everyone. YUMMY and THANKS!

I haven't done the bracciole yet, but that's simply cause I'm taking a well deserved break from all the cooking I've done over the last month...We've got leftovers in the freezer, so isn't like we're going to starve anytime soon. LOL!

Take your time, dear. The bracciole will be there when you're ready to try it. And yes, I also made three Holiday Tortes and cheesecakes for our big family get-together. I am not much on eating sweets myself, but my family just loved the Cherry-Chocolate cheesecakes.

I actually lost count myself, of how much baking and candy making I did...Several kinds of cookies (by the dozens), several pounds of chocolate dipped nuts and fruits (white, dark, and milk chocolate), fudge (white, dark, milk, peanut butter), eclairs/cream puffs (chocolate, vanilla, tapioca), brownies, cakes, pies, torte, cheesecakes...And that didn't even include the sauces for fresh fruits to dip in, snack trays of meats, cheeses, veggies, crackers, chips, and sauces/dips for dipping/spreading...Or the main courses themselves for the meals.

At least all our guests/family were happy and enjoyed their favs throughout the season celebrations...As well as being introduced to some new favs cause of your torte and cheesecake recipes.

But gees....I'm tuckered out now. LOL!

I thought I saw you on one of Rachael Ray's programs, Ali. My goodness, you deserve a break for a whole month.

LOL! No I wasn't. Although her name was brought up during the season...Family and friends told me I should start my own show, and if I did that Racheal Ray would be out of a job. ROTFLMAOL!!!

I am actually cooking tonight since hubby's begging me to. Nothing fancy though...And hubby is helping with the cooking as well.

Mashed Potatoes w/Milk Gravy
Buttered Corn
Tomatoe/Avocado Salad w/Home-made Cucumber/Bacon Ranch Dressing
Home-made Buttermilk Biscuits w/Honeyed Butter
Strawberries on Raspberry Angelfood Cake
Iced Peach Tea

I must be nuttier than Joe, as that menu looks so tempting to get myself beamed into your dining room.

Last night, I had a salmon salad from Panera Bread. It was delicious. Their cinnamon raisin bread is pricey, but good as well. That place is a good alternative to McDonald's.

LOL! We have the St. Louis Bread Company here, which is actually what you are referring to as 'Panera Bread'...I agree, they do have a great salmon salad. I also like their soups in bread bowls, and the pannis are fantastic. So are their salads.

I'm particularly fond of their Asiago Bread...YUMMY! They also have great scones, muffins, pastries, and other treats.

But they are a tad pricey...Not to mention they're always packed. But well worth the cost. And seems that there's always a new one opening up in the area, to fill that demand.
