As I am alone tonight, I will probably get something from the freezer and pop it into the microwave oven, and have a salad with it, too.

How are you doing, me dearest?

Getting over the flu. Hubby's tired of doing all the cooking to say the least. ROTFLMAOL!

Oh, poor Ali. Hope you are feeling better. I haven't had the flu in years. Hope hubby's cooking is keeping you healthy enough.

I'm still feeling blah...Hubby's only had to cook for my mother and himself, since all I've been able to stomach is crackers and dry toast. I think the only reason it's hit me so hard is that taking care of mom has worn me down a great deal.

It seems that way, as the harder you work, the more your energy and strength is sapped. The last couple of weeks, I've had my share of being busy. On weekends, I hardly have time for myself. Mostly it involves work within the Spiritual workplace. I took communion yesterday to an older couple, just as I did the week before. The week before, I did two visits, including one to a lady who is in an assisted living facility.

After yesterday's visit, I then went to have brunch with my grand nephews and their mom. Saturday I went to a church to take of Secretariat business, and a team meeting.

So there is plenty more lying ahead, plus the Padres are coming up, too. A person's work is never done, I guess.

Well, here's something to make the both of you feel better. I'm making moussaka tonight for a friend of mine and his wife. I found my old recipe for this last night; and want his opinion of it. He's Greek; so I also give him many of my recipes to try that he's unfamiliar with .
I will send you the recipe later tonight when I get back. Meanwhile, Ali; please take it easy and get your strength and appetite back.

Moussaka? It's that a Greek eggplant cassarole thingy? My oldest sister's specialty is Greek cooking (as well as a pastry/candy chef) so I'm pretty sure I've had it but it's been awhile.

Mind sending me the recipe for yours? Pretty please? I'd love to make it myself one day.

I promise to take better care of myself as well...Hubby says he's going to help out more with mom so I don't get so worn down and get sick again. LOL!

Sounds like a very interesting recipe, Joe. I wish I had a recipe for chicken soup, not that I don't know if it would help DTT's sweetheart.

How about I take care of both of your recipe needs? It just so happens that I have one for chicken soup also, H80. Sorry I didn't send the mossaka recipe last night. I got home late; and went straight to bed. But you'll be happy to know it got rave reviews from my friend and his wife. Now I have to send him a copy also.
His wife is going to give me the recipe for a dish she made last night. I can't remember what she called it; but it was made with grape leaves. I'll pass it along when I get it. Let me go scrounge up the recipe for H80's chicken soup; and I'll be back in a little bit.
By the way. Ali; moussaka is exactly what you thought. It's an egglant-and potato lasagna (to describe it best.
