Lunch was just 2 hours ago, and you guys are making my stomach rumble.

I love a bagel sandwich. For breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon, or for dinner with smoked salmon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and cream cheese.

Either one would be a great little nutrition and calorie pellet for our patient.

Crabs tend to be very low in mercury if I remember correctly.

I don't know about salmon. They spend part of their lives in rivers and can be exposed to pesticides and other chemicals.

True, KOS. Wild salmon, like Copper River Salmon, are usually found in Alaska. Commercially raised salmon, such as the Atlantic variety, probably come from Chile. Color is added to Atlantic salmon.

Right now, in the freezer section of my fridge at home, I have a package of frozen Sockeye salmon fillets.

Honestly, your best move is to make a list of her favorites and create bite sized versions of them. Then, as Knot suggested, offer them every half our or so.

Sir, worrying about the health of your wife and unborn children is is no way being a pain in the ass, as you put it. It's being human. And all the replies you see here should tell you how much we love Ali, and worry the same.
BTW, I just got off the telephone with my dietician. She says that any diet You and Ali decide upon should be based upon her doctor's recommendation from evaluating her blood tests. There are many myths out there concerning all sorts of diets (low-carb, no-carb, no-meat, no vegetables and many others.) I informed her that putting weight on was what you were looking for.
Again, she insists upon the doctor's recommendation. The tolerance levels in everybody are not the same. She does agree that Ali is too light right now and needs some extra weight to support the babies, but she will not give advice to someone who is not her patient that she is unfamiliar with the situation. I wish I could tell you more.
