I am glad to hear that Ali is trying to get something into her. I am sorry to hear about the homecare nursing scheduling problem. My sister is a nurse, and she told me that this is a common problem. That doesn't make your situation any easier; but I truly hope this problem can get worked out.Yes, there seems to be a nursing shotage everywhere- not just in your area.Wasn't it last year that in Chicago two nurses made over $100,000 because they worked so much overtime? And the first thing the city did was try to pass a resolution to ban this, instead of working on the reason why all this overtime was necessary?

The nurses who made $100K certainly were dedicated to their patients. Seems like the city didn't know what they were doing.

Yes, H80 the nurses certainly were. I just can't seem to grasp why the city of Chicago seen it as an issue to put before the city council. I know squat about hospital funding; but I thought it more important to deal with the issue at hand, and not the after effects. Those nurses (and all others) should be commended for their dedication, and not publicly scrutinized as they were.

Well, I guess it is indeed all politics, Joe. Sad to say. I wish there are some good folk in the Windy City that would stand up to the city council and tell them of their mistakes.

I figure that the only thing they will hear from them is "blah blah blah bladdie blah blah."

I certainly would like to be employed in the health care industry, but I suppose my monthly or bi-monthly platelet donations at the blood bank is sufficient enough for now.
