How will YOU be spending Thanksgiving Day?
I'll be going out to eat with my gorgeous wife and two perfect children, followed by a movie, probably I'm Not There the one about Bob Dylan.

And thinking about all the blessings my family and I have to be thankful for in our lives.

Gary, good easy-goin' thread here...

Maybe we can all add a word of what we are thankful for this year???

And see how long of a list we can make of good stuff going on in each of our lives.

That said,

"I am thankful for..."

1. my 88 year old mother is in good health.

I am in NYC area to celebrate the holiday with my closest friends. It has been a long time since I was last here, and I missed them. Their smiles are great to see again. The food here is fantastic! I am in meat, cheese, pasta, and desert overload. How many pounds can I gain in three more weeks.....

As for being thankful:

1 - I am thankful for my health.
2 - I am thankful to my friends, family, and the medical team that made item 1 possible.

Enjoy your holiday!
One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small,
And the ones that mother gives you don't do anything at all.

I'm glad you are feeling well Akuma. Watch that cholesterol, the anti-rejection meds don't like fatty foods.

Hey Akuma! How are you? Remember me, wallysboi from the Yahoo! message board? I hope you are doing well. Glad to hear your health has improved! My niece is currently studying in Hiroshima this year. Her major is asian studies and she's teaching English as a second language to make ends meet.

Wonderful to hear you're in the states!!!!

Much love and peace to ya!

Currently Im cooking hungarian goulash and making spaetzle. Picking up Wally from the airport around 11PM- he's been in Mexico for a couple of weeks. Tomorrow we're hosting my family and having a non-traditional meal consisting of hungarian goulash, spaetzle, cabbage and noodles, chicken paprikash, stuffed cabbage, smashed potatoes, corn casserole, green bean casserole, apple and cherry pie w/ vanilla ice creme. Then we're all gonna hunker down and digest.

Hopefully everyone will be kicked out by 7pm....

We are deep-frying 2 whole turkeys. Just 3 Americans and our Filipino and Iraqi staff - Thanksgiving in the good ole' International Zone. The automatic weapons fire I hear in the distance must mean that the insurgents are celebrating too.

Anyway it's great to see that the Thanksgiving Holiday has put everybody in a benevolent, caring frame of mind.

The internet is a powerful force in the struggle for world peace and international harmony

I spent Thanksgiving at my parents. Where I have been since the 3rd when mom took a fall and suffered a concussion and two broken ribs.

I am thankful that she's recovering nicely and should be pretty much able to run her own house by Tuesday, when I go in for surgery.

(Except for being unable to drive her antique truck. And I've had to steal the keys!)
Bother not the cat. For they are sneaky and will piss on thy keyboard.
