Ummm, I couldn't help but notice that someone here has evidently been able to get into my account and add images to my posts. I see in this very thread an image that is to affirm "Gay Pride"...

I did not nor would not post that kind of affirmation. Whereas I believe in equal rights, I have taken my stand many times, that politicizing one's sexuality, one's sexual behavior is detrimental to equal rights. And most likely detrimental to whatever intimate relationship they are in. I surely would not want to feel like my love for someone had to be paraded about and gain public appeal. That is my opinion. I have based it on certain principles and a moral foundation that others do not share. Others here have other opinions. That is respected.

I find hacking in to my account and posting an image that conflicts with my principles, whether in humor or not, to be quite disrespectful and a violation of the privacy that a member ought to have here.

I truly hope Fridge Repair Guy can ferret out the culprit and tell that one to "Freeze!!!"

I was wondering about that myself. I thought you put that gay pride image there yourself. I didn't anybody but a monitor could add things like that without your permission. Interesting...

Any admin (perhaps mod) should be able to read the source of any post/edit, and then match that IP address up to the list of members' known IP addresses to determine the culprit.

It was me, I'm sorry. I'm in the closet with my acceptance of gay marriage and that was the only outlet for my true feelings. I tried to project them onto OD.

A moderator COULD add/delete things from someone's posts...But their name would show up at the bottom of the thread to say who edited it.

And OD's post said she had edited it...

Only someone who know's OD's password, would be able to do it since they signed in under her ID then edited the post. If this admininistration panel is like those I'm familiar with, the moderators wouldn't be able to access her password (password security feature, sometimes only the owners can see passwords and I don't see Ridin doing such a thing) either so again it would point to someone she gave her password to using it.

So guess OD needs to figure out who she's shared her passwords with, and go from there. Especially if it's a shared password, meaning she uses the same password elsewhere. Then that person checked out sites they knew she was a member at and signed in using the password to see if the passwords were the same.

Which means, IF she's using the same password in other sites, then she needs to go change the passwords everywhere she's a member at. Just to ensure whoever is doing it doesn't cause her some serious trouble, instead of a little gif...

I thought of one other possibility...OD? Have you given anyone your e-mail password? Or keep signed into your e-mail on your computer? If so, that person can click the 'forgot my password' option in sign-in which sends your password to your e-mail from any site you're a member on. And they could have done that, had it sent to your e-mail, got the password, then deleted the e-mail without you even knowing.

Best advice is go change your passwords on every site you're a member on, as well as change your e-mail password to ensure they can't go through that access either. And when you're not on-line, sign out of your e-mail every time, so whoever went to your e-mail can't have mail sent to your account and they can read.

I do not believe I ever shared my password with anyone Ali.

But I am actually not bothered by the violation done to me. It's rather pathetic of whoever...

but in truth, what injury did it do to me? Heck, my posts have shown my own thoughts and the progression I have made in the past year and a half since coming to the DTT. Some of my earliest posts are much more embarassing to me than that image attached to a recent post of mine here!

IF someone got into your account here, then it's really easy for them to get into your accounts elsewhere...And start alot more serious problems with your accounts then just what they done here.
